This single bedroom unit in the picturesque Northern Beaches headland of Queenscliff required substantial internal renovations to improve functionality but also to create a unique, warm and earthy feel to complement its seaside location. The existing vermiculite ceiling finish was stripped and the raw concrete structure was revealed. Existing oyster ceiling lights were substituted for industrial wall sconces, and the existing laminate flooring was replaced with solid timber flooring. All work including Tallowood decking, Spotted Gum balcony balustrade, birch plywood/spotted gum sideboard, Silky Oak coffee table and TV display unit, and Tasmanian Oak corner floor lamp was designed and built Mrljak Architect Builder.
